Peter Jackson is know for two things, The Lord of the Rings, and being really fat at one point. He should be known as an all around pretty great director because before his LOTR trilogy, he had a nice little repertoire of good films and that includes this. The Lovely Bones was shit. I’m not going to kid anybody on that. This however was not shit. I quite liked it. It stars Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey who you might know from indie films and tv. Both make their film debuts here. The story is about a real life event in New Zealand and is told through the perspective of the two girls. It’s actually a pretty disturbing look into mental illness and how it can involve children. Jackson directed a nice look film and also wrote a story based off those real events that got him nominated for his first Oscar before he raped the Academy Awards with his trilogy. I heard the new Hobbit film was so so. Maybe Peter should get fat again?

Maybe Peter should be fat again… That thought probably goes through his head every second of every day. I know I do.
